Why Setbacks Shouldn’t Set You Back
So what do you do if “sh*t happens”? Well first reflect on how it was your fault and think about it in this way. One day you could be making out with some hot chick and you feel amazing and everything in your weekend is going perfect, great test at school back, won your hockey game – you’re life is sweet. You’re having an “this is awesome” moment. And it is… at that specific moment. Then it all screws up, your girlfriend breaks up with you, and you feel like you have the worst life every and want to kill yourself and you have your “this sucks” moment. Trust me, I’ve been there. Both moments.
It could be your “this sucks” moment, and then someone else will have a turn to have their “this is awesome” moment. It happens, no one’s life is awesome all the time. It can be long periods, but never forever.
Examples make everyone understand better, so let me give you one. Celebrities – they make loads of money, people would pay money to hang out with you, and there frickin celebs! But Britney Spears when she cut her hair, that was her “this sucks” moment, but when she made her huge comeback and everyone loved her again, that was a “this is awesome” moment. And last week, that was a “Kodak” moment… I’m kidding.
